Invented by David Houston, roll fim is any type of spool wound photographic film that is protected from white light by a paper backing. As opposed to film before this which was wound and than put into a cartridge, to protect it from light. In 1881 a farmer in cambria, Wisconsin, Peter Houston, invented the first roll film camera. Kodak was the first company to use roll film in their box cameras, in 1888.

I'm sure we all know what a roller coaster is, but just incase we have that one person out there who has no idea what i'm talking about, i'm going to explain it. A roller coaster is a popular amusement ride at theme parks and amusement parks. LaMarcus Adna Thompson patented the very first roller coaster on 1/20/1885. A roller coaster is, in a sence, an elaborate train track. It consists of a track, which could be held up by wooden or steel supports, and a train, which is atleast two "cars" connected together. The world's tallest roller coaster at the moment is the King Da Ka. The King is located at Six Flags in New Jersey. It reaches 128 mph in 3.5 seconds and reaches a height of 456 feet, making it the tallest, and the fastest coaster in the world.

Curtis developed and sold the first commercial chewing gum called The State of Maine Pure Spruce Gum. William Semple filled a patent on chewing gum in december of 1869.

The first electric ranges had poor temperature controls and cooked slowly compared to the gas-flame ranges, but improvements in their dial mechanisms now allow for faster cooking.

Kodak was founded by George Eastman, George grew up as a highschool dropout taking care of his mother and sisters. According to teachers, he wasn't especially gifted when it came to the school curiculum back then. The name Kodak came from a nickname from his freinds home town North Dakota (NoDak). Also, he and his helper Kathryn E. W. both loved the letter "K" saying "it seems a strong, incisive sort of letter". And then, Kodak was born.
